Job Introduction
At Sodexo, we believe that great food and excellent service make a real difference. We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Solent University, supporting the delivery of high-quality food services in a safe, clean, and professional environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
What You’ll Do
- Support the preparation and service of meals and refreshments to agreed standards
- Assist with hospitality services, including set up, service, and clear down
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety
- Support the kitchen team with daily operational duties
- Follow all Health & Safety, COSHH, and food hygiene procedures
- Assist with catering for customers with dietary requirements and allergies
- Report any incidents, hazards, or maintenance concerns promptly
- Attend training sessions and team meetings as required
What You Bring
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Awareness of food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate desirable
- Reliable, organised, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
