Join our team at Manchester Central Hospital as a Junior Estates Officer HVAC and be a vital part of maintaining a world class healthcare environment. What You’ll Do

  • Extensive experience in managing large healthcare environmental systems, including HVAC, BEMS, microbiological safety cabinets, and LEV systems, with a focus on compliance and scheduled maintenance
  • Proven ability to oversee and deliver complex Capital and Lifecycle Projects, including design review, testing, commissioning, and operational handovers in a healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations such as HTM 06, HTM 03 01, COSHH, and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, ensuring regulatory compliance across all activities
  • Skilled in risk management, including maintaining and updating Risk Registers, implementing mitigation measures, and ensuring HSE compliance within large operational teams and supply chains
  • Capability to produce, review, and deliver technical reports, and manage safety documentation such as Permits to Work, Sanctions to Work, and Standing Instructions
  • Experience in managing and developing a team of competent persons, and liaising with stakeholders, clinical staff, and contractors to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Familiarity with modern maintenance technologies, including Predictive Maintenance, Reliability Centred Maintenance, and integration with BIM and CAFM systems for asset management

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven HVAC and ventilation systems experience
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification and AP Experience
  • Knowledge of HTM 03 Ventilation and healthcare compliance
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage maintenance and project works
  • Health and Safety awareness and COSHH knowledge
