Technical Plumber

Job Introduction

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Plumber who will also have experience in industrial & commercial plumbing, and HAVC.

You will Identify problems with HVAC, perform necessary repairs or routine maintenance, scheduled PPMS and reactive maintenance and work on projects for sustainability.  

you will be a professional with HVAC experience and can work independently.

The client is Diageo SJG, based in Dublin 8.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Installing or maintaining heating systems
  • Repairing/install sanitation systems
  • Fitting domestic appliances (such as dishwashers)
  • Installing/repair air-conditioning units
  • Emergency repairs
  • Determine clients concerns with their current HVAC system
  • Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety
  • Install new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) role also entails identifying, diagnosing, troubleshooting, analysing, and repairing of various types of HVAC equipment.
  • The engineer must be knowledgeable of safety precautions and adhere to safety guidelines.
  • Perform other functions that may be assigned by their manager.

The Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this position, you will need to have certain skills and qualities

  • Possess great mechanical aptitude
  • Strong ability to read and understand technical instructions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Three years’ experience at level maintaining, repairing, and operating HVAC equipment in addition to experience maintaining, operating, and repairing air conditioning and ventilating equipment and regular plumbing, domestic and industrial
  • FGAS registered – would be an advantage
  • RGII registered – would be an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of equipment, tools, and methods commonly applied in repairing air conditioning, heating equipment and plumbing
  • Strong knowledge of principles of operation of air conditioning and heating systems, and safety practices concerning HVAC work
  • Strong ability to diagnose equipment and determine if a repair and maintenance work is needed or not; and ability to keep records of work done, etc.
  • Excellent ability to explain technical information to clients in a way they will understand
  • Strong ability to perform assigned tasks independently
  • Strong knowledge of computers and the ability to apply the necessary software tools for HVAC duties
  • Proficient with manual and power tools
  • Propose projects
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Reliable and self-motivated and work well in a team

Package Description

Permanent Full time role with - Normal working hours
