Job Introduction

At Heritage Portfolio We love the fact that Perth Racecourse is Scotland’s most northerly course nestled in the stunning parklands of Scone Palace and is one of the UK’s favourite days out!

With a busy racing calendar approaching we are looking for passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated individuals to join our friendly management team as Bar or Food supervisor, providing outstanding service across our hospitality and retail service!

What you’ll do: 

• Supervise and support a team of staff, managing and delegating tasks to ensure optimal service is delivered.
• Follow standard operating procedures to maintain quality and consistency across the site.
• Maintain cleanliness of both front and back of house areas and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
• Making sure staff are signed in, fully briefed, and given their allocated break time.
• Always ensure you and your team remain smart and presentable in line with the company’s dress and appearance policy.
• Maximising sales opportunities through upselling where possible.
• Ensure that you and your team adhere to company procedures regarding allergens.
• Ensure guests are served in a friendly, welcoming, and efficient manner while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Help answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverage choices and related items.

What you’ll bring: 

• A leader who can keep their team motivated over busy periods.
• Positive attitude, being friendly yet professional.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both team and management around the site.
• A team player with an ability to work in a busy environment.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• 18+ due to the licensing restrictions.
• Experience in dealing with guest complaints promptly and efficiently.
• Previous supervisory experience.

The opportunity to work at race days across the racing season including weekend, evening, and midweek races plus events throughout the year.
