Services Manager

Job Introduction

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Services Manager to take accountability and responsibility for the day to day management, co-ordination and control of all Defence activity within the Falkland Islands.

You will display professionalism, confidence and assertiveness at all times, working within a quick-paced, challenging and progressive work environment.

If you have proven experience in the management and running of complex multi activity contracts, are confident, organised and have strong leadership qualities – this is a fantastic opportunity for you!

Role Responsibility

  • Maintain and develop a positive working and living culture and environment for Defence employees through sound leadership, effective communication and delegation
  • Management of client relationships and expectations. Maintain formal and informal communications with Clients and Customers
  • Manage all aspects of Health & Safety, Environment and Quality Assurance
  • Ensure that the company/contract accountancy, documentation, audits and administration procedures are carried out to the company standard
  • Ensure that all aspects of the business are conducted in accordance with all relevant statutory requirements and Codes of Practice
  • Take full control over the profit & loss account, including the proper control of costs and resources. Optimise sales, marketing and opportunities for organic growth of services
  • Manage the Sodexo local bank accounts within the Falklands Islands ensuring all bank conciliations and checks are accurate and completed each month.

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualification or relevant experience in Business Management
  • Management knowledge and working experience and implementation of HSWA, IOSH and COSHH
  • Previous experience of managing long-term client relationships
  • Proven track record of leading, managing and developing a team
  • Ability to develop new business opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Computer literate - skills in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • SSCE/IA – ISO 9001 Internal Auditor.

 

Package Description

Band B

Up to £41,820 – depending on experience (salary visible)

Package Details: Permanent overseas posting requirement within the Falklands Islands.

Flexibility on work schedule will be required at times.
