About the role

At Sodexo, our Security Officers are vital in making sure that we provide a safe and secure environment for our clients. We currently have vacancies for Security officer to join our friendly and dedicated team at Burnaston Derby

You’ll be playing a big part in keeping our colleagues and our site safe and secure with a keen eye and a brilliant way with people.

You’ll be booking in visitors and managing couriers, dealing with briefing packs, CCTV monitoring, visible day and night patrols of our site, reporting and assisting with any security issues and ensuring all our paperwork is up to scratch.

A few things about you 

We want you to bring your great attention to detail, customer service skills and I.T know-how. Don’t forget to bring your team spirit and great communication skills too

An SIA licence is needed and if you also have experience in a similar role and/ or hold a CCTV Licence that would be great but, if you don’t have these, we would still love to hear from you!

Role Responsibility

As a Security Officer you could be responsible for: Ad-hoc support for our security operations Ensuring buildings, valuables or people are safe and secure Patrolling, securing and monitoring premises, sometimes with the aid of closed circuit television (CCTV) Supervising the door for a large organisation Guarding cash or other valuables in transit in a security vehicle Driving vehicles as and when required Health and Safety and Evacuation procedures

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate for this role will have a full current driving licence Excellent communication skills Excellent awareness skills Experience in working in a similar role A SIA Licence holder – Manned Guarding Licence, SIA Licence holder – CCTV desirable Knowledge of security techniques Knowledge of site and local emergency procedures

We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our security team based at Toyota Manufacturing in Derbyshire.

The site is a large, fast paced manufacturing facility requiring a highly competent, robust security team. To meet the needs of our client we offer our staff thorough, industry standard, as well as site specific training. For those that look to take their career further we also deliver higher level courses aimed at supervisory/managerial progression, and security compliance work.
