Portfolio Planning Manager
Job Introduction
As a Portfolio Planning Manager you will use a myriad of data sources to create business intelligence that informs our estates strategy. You will also develop tools and techniques that will enable strategic planning.
We are proud to have been awarded an exciting new Government contract with a large scale property portfolio and are seeking facilities management professionals, ideally with managing agent/integrator model experience You'll also support the transformation and change management this new contract will bring, working alongside a dedicated team for the business segment

Role Responsibility
Key Assignments:
• Supporting our clients strategy, objectives and tactical requirements by providing key business intelligence
• Gathering together benchmark information about “best in class” solutions for similar estates and advising on how our clients estate compares; identifying opportunities for improvement
• Informing complex scenario planning exercises by leading on data gathering and conversion into business intelligence that helps to inform estates strategy
• Building effective relationships with peer group within the clients teams, constructing collegiate associations; accessing relevant data on the factors that influence the size of our clients estate footprint
• Building working relationships with strategic third-party vendors, accessing key data on the property market
Key Accountabilities:
• Creating dashboards that bring together estates management data from disparate sources and deliver meaningful insights to help the estates management function drive performance.
• Contributing towards scenario planning exercises by undertaking relevant research and create frameworks to allow each scenario to be modelled enabling meaningful analysis
• Enabling effective decision making through the provision of business intelligence so that key business impacts are clearly understood
• Performing data audits to validate completeness of key databases; identifying and closing gaps with data owners.
• Using data science to create benchmarks in performance, identifying trends, KPIs and establish deviations and exceptions that inform further analysis
• Aligning work activity with the annual cycle of activity; planning, delivery and review.
The Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will have:
• Experience in delivering GIS projects in a real estate environment
• Experience in the use of Geodatabases.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Problem solving ability with great attention to detail.
• Understanding of data management concepts.
• Advanced numeracy, analytical and computer skills for data manipulation and management (MS Excel and Access)
• Ability to work independently and innovatively.
Desirable
• Broad understanding of ESRI product suite including ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Collector, ArcGIS Pro.
• Other desktop GIS software (e.g. MapInfo, QGIS, GRASS, Quantum).
• Experience of working in the real estate sector for the public sector or corporate clients.
• Professionally qualified would be advantageous (RTPI, RICS)
• Experience of working on large property portfolios for a range of clients.
• Experience of working with datasets from the ONS and Nomis amongst others to develop GIS socio-economic map overlays
