Personal Assistant to the Director
Job Introduction
At HMP Addiewell, we run the full prison operations which ranges from residential officers and other operational staff across the jail, integrated Facilities Management, rehabilitation services, resettlement programmes, education and skills development, vocational training, workshops and industries.
Sodexo operate a number of prisons across the UK that rehabilitate those in our care, providing purposeful activity, employment, education, and support. We help prisoners to lead law-abiding lives in their community on release.
Under the guidance and vision of a new passionate Director HMP Addiewell is facing into a new exciting chapter whilst ensuring that we meet Sodexo’s high standards and those of our client; Scottish Prison Service.
To support this vision the Director is now seeking an energetic, innovative and personable Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive organisational, administrative and diverse business support to her and the senior leadership team.
With proven experience of providing support at an executive level you will be organised, flexible and able to anticipate the needs of the Prison Director, exercise sound judgment, and take initiative.
You will be a clear and confident communicator that possess the tenacity to influence and push back when necessary.
You will be responsibilities will include;
- diary management
- scheduling reoccurring routine meetings
- planning and preparing for events and high-profile visits to the prison
- taking minutes of key meetings
- handling and managing sensitive information
- assisting with prisoner complaints and correspondence
- supporting the Director with ad hoc projects
