We are looking for 10 casual packers to join our team on a manufacturing site in Trafford park with main duties involving packing the product, stacking it and maintaining tidiness in their workplace area. There should be no heavy lifting with the roll however it does involve standing up. The workers will have regular breaks.
The shifts on offer are a mixture of daytime and night-time shifts working Monday to Friday 6am – 10pm and 10pm – 6am with occasional weekend work. The shift will be minimum of 6 hours per day. Rate of pay is £8.72/h and any bank holidays are paid at overtime rates. Successful candidates will be invited for a training shift that will be paid.
The uniform and PPE will be provided.
The worker is expected to complete a safety test before entering the site. They will get two attempts to pass. They will then be given a tour of site. They will also be expected to work through a Downstream pack (can take an hour, as well as completing an engagement form and right to work.)
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience on a packing line is preferred but not necessary
- A flexibility to work day and night shifts as well ability to pick up shifts at a short notice is a must
- Great work ethic
- Good level of English language (for Health & Safety purposes)
