Offshore Plumber (Ad-Hoc)

Job Introduction

We are looking for an experienced Offshore Plumber to join our Ad-Hoc pool to undertake offshore surveys in order to identify any plumbing issues, develop scope of works, material take-offs, tools and consumables required to undertake works; to undertake a variety of plumbing works offshore to various areas within the living quarters; installing, maintaining and repairing any pipework – inclusive of joins, valves, drains and fixtures; performing regular maintenance of plumbing systems to prevent emergencies; and ensuring all plumbing works are undertaken to a high quality and carried out in a safe and compliant manner.

Role Responsibility

• Undertaking offshore surveys and be able to identify any issues with common plumbing issue types such as leaks, blockages and burst pipes
• Taking-off materials required as part of any survey and knowledge of common plumbing material manufacturers products and materials for use offshore
• Assisting the warehouse and logistics team with identifying appropriate tools, materials and consumables for associated works offshore
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing pipework within the living quarters offshore
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing drainage systems within the living quarters offshore
• Reading and understand existing general arrangement drawings and pipework/drainage schematics
• Following current rules and regulations relating to all aspects of plumbing
• Assisting other trades where required

The Ideal Candidate

• Practical trades skills, including working knowledge of offshore compliance and construction standards best practice
• Confident and with an ability to work unsupervised and work on own initiative
• Demonstrable commitment to working safely at all times
• IT literate with experience of using Microsoft Office applications (for the purposes of survey and trip reports)
• Ability to self-manage and self-plan workload to meet set deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Ability to work with other team members/disciplines and in a multi-cultural environment
• Has a desire to learn and develop within the role
• Practical experience of working with safe systems of work and following procedures

Package Description

• £250 -  £300 per day depending on experience
• 12 hours per day/ 7days per week (whilst offshore at client site)
• Offshore trips of up to 21 days
