Military Discipline and Legal Clerk

Job Introduction

As a Military Discipline and legal clerk at Merville barracks. You will be responsible for the maintenance, administration and distribution of Discipline information. Additionally, liaise with the manager to provide administrative support to the Legal Advisor. Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. What you’ll do: 

  • Open and maintain files on all disciplinary cases
  • Check discharge paperwork prior to the submission to ensure the file is complete and compliant. 
  • Liaise with Authority Personnel on progress of disciplinary cases
  • Must have a high level of integrity due to the nature of the job and the confidential data that will be handled
  • Open and distribute all received post into the department
  • Open and action emails and ensure efficient prioritisation is applied to all correspondence received

What you bring:  

  • SC clearance required for this role this will be funded by Sodexo
  • Be required to attend the Higher Formation Discipline Advisors course. This will be held via Skype or at Army HQ in Andover and lasts for 2 days.
  • Administrative experience in busy office environment

  • 37 hours per week 
  • Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:00 
  • Friday 08:00-13:00
  • £11.79 per hour 
  • Free onsite car parking
