Job Description:

Mess Accounts Administrator– St Davids Barracks Bicester OX26 6HF

We are looking for a detail-oriented Mess Accountant to provide essential financial and administrative support to our site. This role covers a range of accounting functions, including payroll, invoicing, billing, and month-end tasks, ensuring smooth financial operations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including bookkeeping, invoicing, and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Process payments to external partners and manage supplier invoices, credit notes, and purchase orders.
  • Organise and store financial documents in both digital and paper formats.
  • Assist with month-end procedures, compliance, and reporting.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and within required timeframes.
  • Provide additional financial support as needed.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience in finance administration, bookkeeping, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • A Level 2 or 3 AAT qualification (preferred but not required).
  • A proactive approach with an interest in career development within finance.
