Job Introduction

Role Responsibility

  • To identify & carry out  all general  routine maintenance requirements on site
  • To ensure planned preventative maintenance is undertaken and completed as per work schedule requests
  • To be aware of the company’s quality management system and in particular, to follow any quality assurance work instructions that is applicable to this job
  • To carry out other duties dictated by the requirements of the business
  • To ensure the workshops area is kept clean and tidy
  • To attend to any reasonable management request

Handyman Vacancy  

We currently have an opportunity for a Handyman to join our team,  This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Main Responsibilities

  • To undertake all Handyman tasks that are in the scope of works and in conjunction in the agreed service sheet.
  •  To attend all relevant company meetings and training.
  • Always conduct all tasks in accordance to Sodexo Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
 

Always comply with Site H&S Policies,

  • Will have day to day responsibility for liaising with both Sodexo and P&G Departments when work is being carried out.
  • Will always work to site health and safety policies & requirements.
  • Will conduct minor repairs as required by the DGSM.
  • Will carry out snow and ice clearance and gritting as directed by the DGSM
  • Will assist tradesmen in their duties as directed by the DGSM
  • Will undertake general labouring duties as directed by the DGSM
  • Will be required to undertake all new training and techniques and legislation as required and pass on knowledge to others.
  • Will be required to use all relevant tools and equipment within their specific fields.
  • Will be required to use access equipment for working at heights
  • Will be required to work alone
  • To undertake all additional duties and responsibilities as instructed by DGSM and may be required to work on other Sodexo contracts as directed by the DGSM
  • May be required to drive the company vehicle from time to time as directed by the DGSM
  • To undertake all additional duties and responsibilities as instructed by the DGSM.
  • You are responsible for your own health and safety and that of other colleagues.
  • Provide competitive quotes for equipment and materials for requested tasks/projects and liaise with Sodexo administrator to complete relevant Purchase Orders.
  • Escorting third party operatives as requested e.g. Meter readings for utilities around site.
 

Conduct Water Temperature checks as laid out in Service Scope and Water Quality Logbook.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Must have previous handyman experience
  •  Organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and literacy skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to comply with service requirements in line with client and company policies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to use Microsoft office products, IE word and excel, teams and outlook
  • Full UK driving license required
