Insights Manager

We’re looking for an ambitious, motivated and articulate Insights and Trends expert to join our Food Platform as our Insight Manager. You’ll be up to date on the latest on the latest consumer research methodologies, be able to source relevant market intelligence (both quantative and qualitative), analyse, interpret and present data as actionable marketing and business initiatives. You’ll be capable of predicting future market conditions and understand brand positioning enabling us to operative proactively rather than reactively. As our finger on the pulse you’ll use insights to influence decisions across business segments and help generate innovative ideas relating to consumer needs and desires to keep Sodexo ahead of the curve.

You’ll have exposure to a variety of industries from schools to healthcare, prisons to retail, leisure to defence and the people that work within them as well as joining a highly experience team who are passionate and love what they do.

Role Responsibility

  • Work with the wider Brand Development and Management team to ensure our brands are on trend and deliver what consumers want
  • Work with Segments to identify and formulate market related briefs which are relevant to segment strategy and consumer profiles
  • Lead and own consumer and market insight and collaborate regarding new brand development research
  • Own and communicate trend information and relevant consumer insights to the wider business
  • Oversee the delivery of assortment guidelines and planograms for key categories for yearly and mid yearly refreshes
  • Consumer panel testing, analysis of results as well strategic recommendations to support the promotional calendar, service line development and segment specific projects
  • Liaise with Global Food Platform resources and working groups as required to ensure that best practice and data sharing opportunities are maximised
  • Management and development of a Consumer Analyst

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Proven track record in delivering effective market research / intelligence and strategic insights
  • Ability to operate independently and juggle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising accordingly
  • Experience in internal and external relationship management
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, able to take ownership and management of projects
  • Experience working within a large global or national brand
  • Extensive high street knowledge
  • Ability to analyses and interpret business challenges and translate into clear briefs, outlining research requirements
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Strong written and presentation skills
  • Ability to absorb information rapidly
  • Ability to operate with high levels of ambiguity
  • Proficiency in database management, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
