Hospitality Managers at Dundas Castle

Job Introduction

Heritage Portfolio are looking for Hospitality Managers to join their team at the Dundas Castle.

Dundas Castle in Edinburgh is the most spectacular venue for events. Whether it is a wedding, a corporate event or a family celebration, the variety of buildings, impressive rooms and 17 bedrooms all ‘under one roof’ will provide our guests with a stay that is truly unique.

It exudes sophistication and luxury but delivers it with the warmth and comfort of a family home. From incentive dinners for top achievers, to large product launches and, of course, the most romantic weddings, Dundas Castle can offer it all, and our managers ensure our guests leave with magical memories that will last a lifetime.

Shift lengths will vary depending on the event, ensuring our management team are there for our guests throughout their day and evening. Start times could be 11am with finishes at 2am.

Junior Managers £13.50-£16 depending on experience

Senior Managers £16-£20 depending on experience

Role Responsibility

  • Manage standards and quality across the event delivery
  • Effectively manage team members and take ownership of the event
  • Take instruction from management and be able to delegate to the team
  • Receive and act upon all guest feedback
  • Stimulate upselling and revenue generating setting targets to the team
  • Comply with all Company policies, procedures and statutory regulations, including health and safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH
  • Ensure that staff are adequately trained and skilled to the required level

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven supervisory experience showing leadership, organisation and engagement
  • Able to communicate effectively through written and verbal forms of communication
  • Ability to make an excellent first impression, be proactive, able to multitask, numerate and demonstrate the ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced service driven environment
  • High standards of personal presentation
  • Experience in hospitality is desired
