We have an exciting opportunity for a  Hospitality Chef to join our great team at the prestigious Eton College and Dorney Lake, delivering fresh, exciting menus. Reporting into the Group Executive chef and Hospitality Head Chef you’re be working in a team of four helping co-ordinate and deliver high quality buffets, canape events, concessions and fine dining ranging from small bespoke dinner parties to large formal occasions for 300+

The role is flexible and there is also opportunity to support the Sodexo team at other sites and events, including Royal Ascot, Chelsea Flower Show and other Sodexo live events. There is also the possibility of longer holidays as work will be front loaded

This role is subject to Safer Recruitment checks and the successful applicant will be required to complete a DBS check.

 

 

 

 

Role Responsibility

  • Execute hospitality culinary activities across all Eton College Locations and other locations in which we are asked to cater. 
  • Manage and control the services to the agreed specification and to the agreed performance, meeting financial targets. 
  • Nurture client relationships in order to stabilise & develop them for long term partnerships 
  • Support identification of new opportunities for organic growth and new business. 
  • Exceptional management of Food Hygiene, Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation using the Sodexo Safety Management System. 
  • Have an excellent understanding of Allergen management

The Ideal Candidate

  • NVQ level 2 Food Production certificate or equivalent  
  • Allergy management trained 
  • Experienced Chef who has operated in a busy, client facing environment, ideally with fine dining experience 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills  
  • Flexible, with the ability to work under pressure and across a range of shifts and service times

Up to £28,000 depending on experience
