Role Responsibility

You will lead the segment in all Fire, Food, Environment, Wellbeing and HSEQ matters; report on performance; provide coaching and direction on compliance; ensure robust processes are in place to facilitate all aspects of the segment’s activities and associated risks; and support business growth.

You will also:

  • Liaise with the Regional HSEQ Director UK/I for strategy, compliance, and direction of HSEQ ensuring segment plans are factored into the Regional plan and are agreed to ensure alignment on approach.
  • Provide the framework for Sports and Leisure Segment to be compliant with the Sodexo UKI’s Food and HSE & Q Policies and processes, drive continual improvement in HSE culture, performance, and leadership.
  • Provide compliance guidance, advice on International and British Standards and best practices to drive consistent operational improvements for Fire, Food, Environment, Health, Safety & Wellbeing and controls in line with legislative requirements and agreed business objectives/needs
  • Ensure that through your QSHE Board member the HSE role plays an integral role in bridging HSEQ compliance to align both operational and commercial requirements with Regional strategy and standards through collaborative working to ensure that there is a balanced, practical and value add approach to risk management

The Ideal Candidate

You will have experience of using diverse and creative forms of communication to bring Health and Safety to the forethought of our workforce’s mind when conducting their day-to-day activities. We will expect you to have previous experience in introducing new strategies and successfully delivering the cultural change over a multi-site operation. You will possess the gravitas and influencing skills to effectively manage stakeholder relationships and the leaderships skills to effectively drive your team to deliver a first-class service to the business.

You will have:

  • A chartered HSEQ professional qualification
  • Stadium and event industry experience (essential)
  • A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • A strong focus on Food safety
  • An internal management system auditing qualification or experience to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 41001 & ISO 55001
  • A PAS 79 Fire Risk Assessments and BS9997 Fire Risk Management Standard
  • Project management and risk management skills
  • The role has no fixed location but you will be expected to travel regularly to various venues so a UK driving licence is essential.

 

Package Description

Salary up to £65,000 plus excellent benefits
