Head of Forensic Psychology
Job Introduction
We are looking for a Head of Psychology to join our team at HMP Lowdham Grange. As the Head of Psychology, you will deliver our vision of HMP Lowdham Grange to ensure that the psychological services, reducing re-offending pathways and rehabilitative culture operate efficiently in accordance with our values.
You will lead the Psychology and Interventions team and have ownership of the departments strategy, performance and compliance.
This will be a great opportunity for someone looking to put their stamp on our Psychology team and deliver the Psychological Services in a way that complements Sodexo’s values. Our employees are our greatest asset and are essential to our success.
As you will be leading a team of Psychologists, ideally you will have management experience and be collaborative with your approach to the wider team.
Sodexo are responsible for 6 prison sites across the UK and Scotland and HMP Lowdham Grange is our newest prison that we have just added to our portfolio! The prison is currently operated by Serco, and we will be taking over the contract on the 16th February.

Role Responsibility

The Ideal Candidate
Essential
- Chartered Forensic Psychologist (BPS); Registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Significant experience post-qualification as a Forensic Psychologist;
- Experience in managing people and leading teams.
- Supervising Forensic Psychologists in Training
- Conducting a range of Psychological assessments, including PCL-r, WAIS, SARA, HCR20, SARN, SRA and RSVP; Writing Parole Reports.
Desirable
- Understanding and experience in Offending Behaviour Programmes
- Membership of the BPS Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAPPS).

Circa £60,000 per annum depending on experience
