Location: Oxford

£45,000 and Excellent Range of Benefits.


Sodexo is seeking a Head Chef to join our esteemed team in Oxford. As a Head Chef at Sodexo, your role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of food service delivery to our client organisation. You're not just managing a catering team; you're inspiring excellence, fostering innovation, and ensuring every meal served exceeds our client's expectations. This position demands a blend of culinary excellence, leadership, and a keen focus on safety and compliance.

In this role, you'll oversee the production of all food services to ensure they meet agreed client and Sodexo standards. Leading by example, you'll ensure compliance with health and safety, food safety, and company policies, actively monitoring equipment and food service quality.


Your role also involves motivating and managing the catering team, driving margins by adhering to prescribed recipes and innovating food services to delight our clients. Implementing marketing initiatives and maintaining high levels of customer service and engagement through proactive floor presence during service times are also part of your responsibilities.


Furthermore, you'll conduct regular audits of catering compliance, manage equipment maintenance, and ensure the safety and security of all operations.

About You  


Experience and knowledge requirement for this role:  


  • Passionate about cooking and food service innovation, demonstrating excellent culinary skills.
  • Possesses strong leadership capabilities, able to inspire and develop a catering team effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PPDS, allergen laws, COSHH, and HACCP, backed by relevant catering qualifications (706/1/2, NVQ, or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication skills, with a minimum of 7 years of catering experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Committed to continuous improvement and ensuring customer satisfaction.
