About the role
At Sodexo we are passionate about the services we deliver; our facilities management professionals are at the heart of everything that we do and we’re looking to recruit an experienced Handyperson to join our busy team!
From basic plumbing to joinery and fabric repairs you’ll be the go-to person at our Nestle Fawdon, Newcastle site, and won’t ever need to worry about two days being the same!
You’ll be responsible for all day-to-day maintenance of site and undertake all handy man tasks and ensure all minor repairs are carried out. You’ll also ensure to identify and act correctly to potential safety hazards whilst adhering to GMP protocols.

A few things about you
We want you to bring your problem solving skills, flexible approach to working and your great reliability with you when you join us. Don’t forget to bring you excellent attention to detail and good communication skills too!
Being a team player is really important, but you’ll also need to be able to work well on your own! Having City & Guilds 6707, Basic Skills in Construction, multi crafts Vocational Award would be desirable.
Sodexo embeds a strong Safety culture in everything we do. There’ll be company procedures to follow alongside our Health & Safety practices so it’s vital that you’ll champion this.
