Job Introduction

Sodexo Health and Care are recruiting a HR Business Partner for the Royal Stoke Hospital.

As a HR Professional working on site at Royal Stoke Hospital you’ll have a positive impact on ensuring our people processes are maintained to the highest standard.

You will be responsible for providing an effective, efficient and professional HR service to the business, working closely with the Operations team. You will have particular focus on employee relations and engagement, recruitment and retention, workforce planning, organisational change.

This is a hands-on role based on site engaging proactively with our employees, client, and trade unions to build strong working relationships and promote best practice.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implementation of the national HR strategy and agenda
  • Using HR metrics to drive organisational performance across the business 
  • Built strong relations with client and Trade Union representatives.  Participate in joint consultation committees. 
  • Leading on organisational changes and mobilisations, as and when required
  • Responsible for the site compliance for recruitment including RTW, DBS and Occupational Health
  • Lead on local complex ER matters including providing appropriate solutions 
  • Design and deliver coaching solutions to line managers
  • Be an advocate for equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Deliver on the resourcing and retention site agenda in conjunction with the national agenda
  • Lead on talent
  • Active contribution to the full re-accreditation of the Investors in People standard for UK & Ireland
  • To continuously monitor and ensure labour targets are met within specified timeframes and recommend appropriate interventions to support operations
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationship with Central HR Advisory and People Centre
  • Improve implementation of HR policy, procedures and initiatives across your business through effective communication, coaching and implementation of processes with line managers, resulting in fewer ETs

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You will have a substantial HR generalist experience and good understanding of all aspects of HR Management including resourcing, talent management/succession planning, change management and employee relations, engagement and wellbeing. Exposure to unionised environments is also essential and is strong line management skills. You will be CIPD qualified or qualified by experience.

You will also have:

  • An understanding of human capital measurement and delivery of performance improvement interventions
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience with working with senior leaders
  • Good interpersonal, communications, presentation and influencing skills
  • Good experience with using data insights to support and deliver to business needs
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills
  • Exposure of supporting on large-scale and complex TUPE transfers 
  • Good experience with employee engagement, resourcing and retention,
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Employee Relations 
  • Good experience in the use of Microsoft Office programmes

Desirable

  • Experience of organisation development and design, and facilitation of change including consultation and engagement
  • Experience of working with a central HR shared services team would be advantageous 
  • SAP HR and appreciation of other HR Systems
