HR Advisor

Job Introduction

Our UK Healthcare segment have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to work as part of the Human Resource function at the Oxford Road Campus of the Central Manchester University Hospitals.

You will be responsible for providing an effective, efficient and professional support and advice service to the operational management team; maintaining standards of integrity of the HR function at all times will be crucial, whilst delivering a responsive and customer centred approach to service delivery.

Role Responsibility

• Oversee the HR/employee relations matters for your allocated services, inclusive of general HR queries; contractual entitlements, basic pay queries, absence types and all day-to-day activities and queries in accordance with both NHS and Sodexo policies
• Understand the contractual complexities associated with the Retention of Employment (RoE) model.
• Advise operational managers on HR processes, policies and procedures relating to investigations and disciplinaries, flexible working, short and long-term absence management, unauthorised absence, grievances, health reviews, etc.
• Schedule meetings with employees in conjunction with Unison / Unite where appropriate.
• Attend all required employee HR meetings in the capacity of an advisor and minute taker

The Ideal Candidate

You will be a passionate HR professional with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will thrive at working under pressure and your resilience will enable you to keep up to date with deadlines in this pressurised fast paced environment.

You will also have:

• CIPD Qualification (desirable)
• Previous experience in a HR advisory capacity desirable
• Previous experience with unionised environments desirable
• A strong understanding of general HR, employee relations and employment law
• Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills

Work Pattern - Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs pw.
