Group Area Manager

Job Introduction

Are you a skilled and motivated professional with a passion for contract management, catering, and client service? Do you thrive in a challenging environment and possess exceptional hospitality experience? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Area Manager for our schools catering division.

In this role, you will take responsibility for overseeing the catering operations of several primary schools within the Gloucester area.  Manage contracts and ensure efficient delivery of catering services in accordance with client requirements. 

You will contribute significantly to the growth, development, and retention of our contracts while delivering exceptional service standards and customer experiences.  

Monday to Friday, with no work on bank holidays.  

This role comes with a travel allowance

What you’ll do:
  • Develop and ensure a high focus on employee safety and positive client relations – ensuring that clients know you are on site and for what added value reasons.
  • To conduct site service evaluations, realising action plans and implementing change required to meet the consistent standards
  • To establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with individuals at all levels in the Company and Client sites
  • Participate in creation of craft and business training modules to support operational / contractual obligations
  • To implement and maintain the Statutory and Company standards of food and personal hygiene, health and safety and take any action as is necessary.
  • Where required, support the recruitment, interviewing, control and discipline of staff according to the needs of the Senior Operations Manager and within the procedure laid down by the Company.
What you bring:
  • Previous catering experience and a Great Passion for Food and Team Engagement
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to  communicate effectively with customers, clients, and staff at all levels
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Computer literacy
  • Strong level of literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to achieve and set standards and operate to performance criteria, with regard to hygiene
  • Positive approach to learning in role and identifying own training needs as appropriate
  • Self-motivated, sense of own initiative and the ability to meet target deadlines as set by the Account Manager
  • Ability to work effectively as part of and in the development of a team with a flexible approach to role and to successfully implement change
  • Enhanced DBS Clearance
