General Catering Assistant
Job Introduction
You are the face of the service operation as a Sodexo General Catering Assistant in Coxheath Primary School - Coxheath - Maidstone. Along with making sure all work areas are kept spotless at all times, this duty involves preparing and serving our varied cuisines. With your upbeat demeanour and adept customer service abilities, you'll become an indispensable part of everyone's daily routine. Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. What you’ll do:
- Assist with set up and service of hot and/or cold meals from steamtables and countertops.
- Sanitise and clean workstations and equipment.
- During meal times, serve and restock food from counters and steam tables, tidy up stations, and follow recipes or product instructions to estimate food requirements.
- Engage with students in the eating, retail, and serving areas.

- Ability to spend up to eight hours a day working while standing
- Prior work experience is not a requirement.

- Working pattern: Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri -11:00-14:00; Tuesday 10:00-14:00

**Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage.**
