Finance Analyst (FP&A Analyst)

Sodexo currently have a requirement for a Finance Analyst (FP&A Analyst)  to join the central Finance team working out of offices in Salford. FP&A support in the reporting of UK&I financials ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliverables for all phases of the reporting process (actuals, forecast, budget, restatement) to group. You will business partner with FC/FD’s/Head of Finance of segments/Service Operations/to understand financial performance within their respective areas. You will ensure Operational segment/KPI webforms for respective segments are correct in HFM and analysis of system to system checks. Co-ordination and analysis of segment packs and challenging the norms where inconsistencies in data appear. Assist in FP&A adhoc queries that may come from group and senior management and produce analysis of quarterly/half-yearly/annually notes processes.

This role would suit a strong technical accountant who has solid experience of financial analysis and the ability to challenge the segments on their numbers. You would need excellent stakeholder skills as this role links into senior management on a daily basis. In return the role offers a very competitive salary and annual bonus.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Support the reporting of monthly actuals (P&L, balance sheet, cash-flow, KPIs) in the financial systems and ensure accuracy and consistency of data, as well as respect of deadlines.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes to find efficiencies in the production of information and enable focus on qualitative analysis.
  • Support the budget, forecast and risks & opportunities processes, in collaboration with Segment teams.
  • Understand and become change agents of any new processes and tools that are used to help the impacted stakeholder teams.
  • Support end to end management of the SONAR process within the team.
  • Support monthly allocations process in reporting numbers to group.
  • Senior management reporting (RLC/ICLC)

 
 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in a Finance Analyst role
  • Excellent excel skills (Vlookup, Sumifs, Pivot Tables)
  • Experience with management reporting/ERP systems (HFM, Essbase, SONAR, SAP).
  • Ability to analyse high level data and linking from one system to another.
  • Resilient and motivated with drive and determination to identify and resolve issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to produce financial reports in a clear and concise manner for financial and non-financial personnel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure; think clearly and act decisively.
  • Flexible and comfortable with working in a context of change.
  • Good personal organization skills with a can-do proactive attitude
 

Desirable

  • (ACCA/CIMA finalist/qualified).
