We offer three services a day of high-level, fresh from scratch food offer, 7 days a week and due to the nature of the site you would be required to work 5 days out of 7 with occasional evening (up to 7.30pm) work to cover events. You would have a minimum of NVQ L2 in Catering, Food Safety L3, effective communication skills and experience in a similar role.

Strathallan School is large prestigious Independent Boarding school for boys & girls from 9 – 18 years of age. Located in Forgandenny, Perth this role will support with managing the school catering contract. We are seeking an experienced Manger as you will be responsible for a team of over 14 staff; you will have experience of managing a large catering budget with good financial understanding and you will be a great  team player with excellent customer facing skills.

This role offers a great team environment and the opportunity to work within one of the leading Independent Schools in Scotland. It is an opportunity for an experienced Chef Manager to help shape the offering and develop relationships.  It would therefore suit a strong experienced Manager who can add value bringing innovation and new ideas whilst managing this 7 day per week boarding school catering contract. 

This role is subject to Safer Recruitment checks and the successful applicant will be required to complete a DBS. 

Role Responsibility

• To provide strong leadership to senior management team including Head Chef, Assistant Manager, Supervisor and Chef team
• Ensure prompt, efficient and innovative service of all catering and hospitality to the company standard and clients satisfaction for 550 plus covers
• To ensure financial aspects of catering operations are managed professionally and within the financial guidelines agreed with the client
• Effectively manage the Sodexo team to ensure that exemplary services are provided at the school.  
• Manage resources and promote an ethos of team work and to instil a culture of continuous improvement.
• To be responsible for the service at the school leading a management team to ensure delivering against Key Performance Indicators.
• Act as the primary representative of Sodexo within the contract by the effective management of Head Chef and Front of House manager to ensure the delivery of both qualitative and quantitative results
• Foster long term profitable relationships with the schools to maintain existing business and identify new business opportunities by delivering operational excellence
• Provide direction and expertise to the operating teams by promoting Sodexo strategies and best business practices in order to uphold the Company mission and values
• Motivate and lead a high performing team to achieve their objectives
• Recruit, manage, induct, train, motivate and appraise staff
