Energy and Sustainability Manager

As an Energy and Sustainability Manager at Sodexo, you are pivotal in driving environmental performance and operational improvements. This position places you at the heart of critical energy management initiatives that influence the sustainability practices of prominent organisations around the world. You will play a key role in supporting Sodexo’s net zero ambitions and driving business growth through innovative energy projects. Your strategic input will help shape our environmental strategies and enhance our service delivery to clients.

What you’ll do:
  • Complete Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) audits and ensure compliance.
  • Lead audits and reviews to identify and reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Ensure ISO 50001 Energy Management System compliance across client sites.
  • Develop and manage decarbonisation strategies and sustainability plans for clients.
  • Monitor energy projects to verify they achieve intended financial and environmental outcomes.
  • Provide expertise in business development focused on sustainability and net zero solutions.
  • Support the implementation and management of new contracts, focusing on sustainability features.
 
What you bring:
  • Degree and Masters degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Membership with institutions such as the Energy Institute or IEMA.
  • Certified as a Lead ESOS Assessor and ISO 50001 Internal Auditor.
  • Experienced in compliance with sustainability-related regulations and standards.
  • Skilled in managing and optimizing energy and water assets.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement low carbon technologies and strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of managing complex stakeholder relationships.

What we offer: 

Circa £50,000 DOE + 10% Annual Bonus + Excellent benefits package
