ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN
As an Electrical Technician at Sodexo, based at [insert location], you are not just a technical expert; you are the driving force behind maintaining a safe, efficient, and inviting environment at our global manufacturing client's site. Your role is integral to our Integrated Facilities Management team, ensuring that both our clients and staff experience the highest standards of service.
What you’ll do:
- Undertake maintenance and reactive activities on various Electrical Building Services equipment, including LV systems, PAT testing, RCD testing, RCBO testing, general lighting, AV, HVAC, building controls, small power and distribution, and other equipment found in modern pharmaceutical sites.
- Execute planned preventative maintenance on all equipment according to the Plant CMMS (Maximo).
- Manage portable electrical equipment testing records, issue fixed installation certificates, and general test certificates.
- Perform scheduled maintenance service on electrical systems and fixtures.
- Participate in audits in accordance with Sodexo policies and procedures.
- Coordinate external contractors for required maintenance or breakdown services.
- Undertake weekend/out-of-hours working for intrusive maintenance activities.
- Plan and organize minor installation and improvement works.
- Liaise with suppliers/wholesalers to assess costs and delivery times in line with Sodexo procurement procedures.
- Support the spares management process through timely transaction of materials on the CMMS and ordering of materials.
- Ensure appropriate use of equipment and facilities, maintaining a well-ordered working environment.
- Undertake health and safety training, including permit to works, working at heights, risk assessments, and lockout-tagout procedures.
What you bring:
- 3 years’ experience in electrical building services and plant engineering.
- Level 6 of the NQAI Certificate in Electrical Craft Practice or equivalent.
- Trained in I.S.3217, the Irish Standard for Emergency Lighting.
- Pharma site experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional customer focus with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Numerate and computer literate.
