Catering Manager
Job Introduction
In your role as Mobile Catering Manager at Sodexo in High Wycombe, you will supervise the hospitality team at our esteemed schools, making sure that our vibrant meals are served with a smile and that the kitchen and restaurant are operating efficiently. As the person your team looks to for guidance and support, you will have an impact on their day-to-day life and in turn, create a lively, productive work atmosphere. What you do:
- Supervise the arrangement and provision of hot and/or cold food from counters and steam tables
- Supervise the restocking of food from counters and steam tables, as well as the breakdown of stations at the conclusion of service.
- Oversee the chopping, seasoning, and cooking of fish, vegetables, meats, salads, soups, and other dishes.
- Plan the menu, place supply orders, maintaining accounts and records when required (Must be Computer Literate)
- Ensure that workstations and equipment are sanitised.
- Travel as and when required to sites providing support
What you bring:
- Capability to work for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours) in a standing position.
- Basic "IT" skills
- Professionalism, respect for others, and a positive attitude
- Fundamental food handling abilities
- Possess prior experience supervising staff.
- Possess excellent time management abilities
- Previous experience in large scale cooking preferred however, not essential
- Full UK Driving Licence required for this position and own vehicle required for this role.

Package Description
Are you a passionate about cooking but don't want to work late nights or weekends? Would you like to work over various sites and regularly with different teams, whilst developing your management skills? If so, we'd love you to join our team as a MOBILE CATERING MANAGER!
- £15.00 per hour
- 30 hours per week
- Working pattern: Monday to Friday
- Term Time only (40 week Working Contract paid over 52 weeks)
- This position requires and Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
- ALL TRAVEL EXPENSES ARE REIMBURSED
Retention bonus for all attached mobile roles –£200 on successful completion of 12 week probation, further £300 after 52 weeks complete employment in role
**Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage. **
