Job Purpose

To provide an efficient and friendly service, complete all duties relating to the operation and to maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness of the facility. To cover holiday and sickness when required with adequate notice if possible.

Accountabilities

• 07.30 am arrive on site and proceed to prepare for Breakfast service which includes cooking and preparing display unit. Also check display unit is filled with milk, Barr dinks etc.
• 08.30 a.m. Open doors for Breakfast service.
• Complete all relevant paperwork, temp sheets, cleaning schedules and Food Safety paperwork.
• Throughout service check dining facility and wash all debris plates and disposes of rubbish.
• Check Chef’s task list for the weekend and carry out instructions, which would include tasks such as salad bar preparation, fruit pots and desserts and any specific cleaning tasks.
• At the end of service cash up the till and fill in necessary paperwork which will include cleaning schedules, temperature control sheets, cashing up sheets.
• Prepare sandwiches for vending machine and snack bar on Sunday ready for Monday morning.
• Depending on the following weeks business The Chef/Manager may ask you to cook off whole chickens and a gammon for any buffets or sandwiches required for the beginning of the week.
• Close Down: Ensure all tabletop surfaces floors, dishwasher are left clean for the next day
• Ensure all monies from the day’s service are locked away in the office and all equipment has been turned off and all doors secured.
• Carry out any tasks as instructed by the Chef Manager.
• Check all kitchen areas for cleanliness including fridges and storage areas.
• Any issues experienced over the weekend are to be documented for the oncoming shift.
• Keys handed into gate house.
