HMP Addiewell opened in 2008 and is run by Sodexo under contract to the Scottish Prison Service with an emphasis on being a “learning” prison. Here residents can address their offending behaviour and the circumstances which led to their imprisonment through Purposeful Activity.

To support Sodexo’s vision of changing lives for the better by operating safe, decent, and secure prisons HMP Addiewell is looking for a strategic, empathetic leader with an extensive background in in drug addiction and recovery.

Co-ordinating and working alongside our community partners and service providers you will devise and develop clinical and non-clinical pathways of care and recovery that meets the needs of HMP Addiewell’s diverse population.

You will have a critical part to play in ensuring that security measures across the prison are sufficiently robust, so direct experience of working within custody would be advantageous though not essential so long as you have strong desire to swiftly learn about the environment and its complexities.

In addition to care pathways and security you will take the lead on the development and implementation of peer lead support programmes for addiction

£31,900 to £43,200
