We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Hospitality Senior Supervisor to join our team at Larkhill Garrison, Larkhill, SP4 8QT. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll support the Mess Manager in delivering high-quality catering, hospitality, and soft FM services, ensuring an excellent experience for all members and residents.
You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the Mess, leading a team, maintaining high service standards, and driving continuous improvement across operations.
Oversee and supervise daily Mess operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
Lead, motivate and manage a team, including performance, training and development
Support the planning and delivery of functions, events, menus and catering services
Ensure all services meet contractual requirements, KPIs and service level agreements
Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and the Mess committee
Support budget control, cost management and identify opportunities for business growth
Maintain high standards of health & safety and food safety compliance
Handle customer feedback, resolving issues and recognising excellent service
Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence
Provide on-call support for absence or weekend cover where required
Experience in a supervisory or management role within catering, hospitality or soft FM
Strong leadership and people management skills
Good understanding of health & safety and food safety standards
Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and as part of a team
Good IT skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
Desirable
Experience working in a military or similar environment
IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
Background in contract catering, hospitality, retail or cleaning services
