Hours:

Monday to Friday – 7:00am to 3:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £15.50 per hour + Sodexo Benefits

Job Introduction

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Hospitality Chef to join our team at MARS Wrigley in Slough, delivering high-quality food services within a prestigious corporate environment. This role plays a key part in catering for employees and guests, from daily lunch service through to high-profile VIP and corporate events.

You’ll be working in a professional, fast-paced kitchen alongside the Hospitality Supervisor and two other team members, producing exceptional buffet food and canapés for functions, with hot food for events being introduced in the near future.

Main Responsibilities

  • Cater for daily employee dining, serving 300–400 employees at lunchtime, including senior leadership, CEOs, and VIP guests.

  • Take responsibility for the salad bar during lunch service, ensuring high standards of quality, presentation, and availability.

  • Prepare and deliver hospitality catering for meetings, functions, and events, including buffets and canapés.

  • Work within the cold kitchen, supporting the preparation of high-quality food for all hospitality services.

  • Collaborate closely with the Hospitality Supervisor and kitchen team to ensure smooth service delivery.

  • Maintain exceptional standards of food hygiene, safety, and compliance at all times.

  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and adherence to all health & safety procedures.

  • Support the Head Chef with menu planning and development, including the future introduction of hot food for functions.

Ideal Candidate

  • Culinary qualifications (e.g. NVQ) – desirable but not essential

  • Health & Safety Level 3 – desirable

  • Experience in contract catering is preferred

  • Strong knowledge of food safety and health & safety standards

  • Experience in hospitality, corporate, or event catering environments

  • Able to work confidently both independently and as part of a team

  • Comfortable catering for large numbers and high-profile guests
