Mobile Food Service Assistant

Location: Covering Sodexo schools across Warwick and occasionally Rugby
Pay: £13.20 per hour
Hours: 20 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, 10:00am–2:00pm
Contract: Term Time Only / Equated Pay

Travel & Retention Bonus

As this is a mobile role, all business travel expenses are reimbursed. Mileage is paid at 45p per mile for the first 10,000 business miles and 25p per mile thereafter.

You’ll also be eligible for a £500 retention bonus, with £200 paid upon successful completion of your 12-week probation and a further £300 after completing 52 weeks of employment in the role.

About the Role

As a Mobile Food Service Assistant, you’ll travel between Sodexo school sites to provide additional catering support. You’ll help with food preparation and service, cleaning and maintaining high standards across our kitchens and dining areas.

Every day can be different, so we’re looking for someone reliable, flexible and happy working across multiple locations.

What You’ll Do

• Travel between Sodexo school sites across Warwick and occasionally Rugby.
• Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages.
• Support catering teams during busy service periods.
• Maintain clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining areas.
• Replenish food displays and service counters.
• Support deliveries and stock management.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety and allergen procedures.
• Provide friendly and professional service to pupils, staff and visitors.
• Adapt quickly to different school environments and catering teams.

What We’re Looking For

• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle – essential.
• A positive, reliable and flexible attitude.
• Ability to travel between different school locations.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Previous catering or food service experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Additional Information

This is a term-time role paid through equated pay. Your salary, based on your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday entitlement, will be spread evenly across 12 months, meaning you receive consistent monthly payments throughout the year, including during school closure periods.
