Deliver great food and service every day

Sodexo is looking for a reliable and customer-focused Food Service Assistant to join our catering team at Rathdown School.

You’ll support food preparation and service while maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and customer service, helping create a welcoming dining experience for students and customers.

What you’ll do

  • Assist with food preparation and presentation, following HACCP and company standards
  • Receive, check and store food and consumables, including temperature control and stock rotation
  • Follow procedures for allergens and special dietary requirements
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service
  • Set up and replenish food service counters and vending machines
  • Operate the till when required
  • Maintain clean and well-stocked dining and service areas
  • Complete catering equipment, dishwashing and cleaning duties
  • Dispose of waste safely and correctly
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and presentation
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene and Health & Safety procedures
  • Support special functions and events when required

What you’ll bring

  • Previous catering, hospitality or food service experience is desirable
  • Understanding of food hygiene, HACCP and allergen requirements
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Reliable, flexible and able to work well as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and complete relevant training
