Join Sodexo at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh as a Food Service Assistant and become part of a professional team delivering exceptional food service in a unique and prestigious environment. You’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming experience for customers while supporting the smooth and efficient delivery of high-quality catering services every day.
What you’ll do:
- Support the preparation and presentation of meals while consistently following food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment by cleaning service areas, washing equipment, and restocking supplies as required.
- Assist with the safe handling, storage, and rotation of food stock to ensure freshness and compliance with food safety procedures.
- Take customer orders, process payments efficiently, and confidently support a range of dietary and allergen requirements.
- Help set up and clear down food service stations to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.
- Follow all health, safety, and company procedures in line with Sodexo policies and standards.
What you bring:
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
- Positive, friendly, and approachable attitude with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to remain calm, organised, and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and flexible with a proactive, can-do approach to supporting daily operations.
- Good communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
