We are currently recruiting a Food Service Assistant to join the Sodexo catering team. This is a customer-facing role where you will play a key part in delivering high-quality food and beverage service, while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, food safety, and customer care.
What You'll Do:
- Assist with food preparation, presentation, and service in line with company standards, delivering a friendly and efficient customer experience
- Operate tills accurately, complete sales records, temperature checks, and delivery documentation
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety across all catering areas, equipment, and utensils
- Set up service counters, replenish stock, refill vending machines, and support hospitality services and special events
- Follow all health, safety, food hygiene, and allergen regulations, and provide flexible cover across the team during busy periods or staff absences
What You Bring:
- Previous experience in food handling or catering is desirable
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a friendly, professional approach
- Good understanding of food safety, health & safety, and hygiene standards, with ability to consistently follow procedures
- Reliable, positive, and flexible attitude with willingness to support the team as needed
- High standards of personal hygiene and professional presentation
- Strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
