Job Description:
Are you a passionate Cook who enjoys preparing great food and delivering excellent customer service? Do you enjoy working as part of a team in a busy catering environment?
We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Cook / Food Service Assistant to join our catering team, working across various Transport for London (TFL) sites in the West London area on a 3-month fixed-term contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with cooking and catering experience who takes pride in producing quality food, maintaining high standards and creating a positive experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing and cooking breakfast, food to order and basic main meals as directed.
Assisting with the preparation, presentation and service of food and beverages.
Ensuring counters, salad bars and display areas are fully stocked, replenished and presented to a high standard.
Providing friendly, professional and efficient customer service.
Setting up and delivering food and beverages for client hospitality when required.
Operating tills, handling payments and ensuring customers are charged correctly.
Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness across kitchen, servery and front-of-house areas.
Completing daily food safety checks, due diligence paperwork and wastage records.
Following all food safety, health and safety and company procedures.
Supporting colleagues across the catering operation to ensure services run smoothly.
What You’ll Need:
Previous experience working in a catering or food service environment.
Confidence preparing and cooking a variety of food.
A good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety practices.
A positive, flexible and can-do attitude.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Good communication and customer service skills.
The ability to work across different TfL sites within the West London area.
