Job Introduction

We are looking for an experienced and motivated F&B Catering Supervisor to join our team at HMRC Glasgow. You will supervise a small team, ensuring a high standard of food service while delivering excellent customer service and supporting the Catering Manager in achieving operational targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support a small team of catering staff.
  • Ensure high standards of food service, hygiene and customer service.
  • Deliver team briefings, training and support to catering staff.
  • Manage stock, ordering, stocktakes and cash transactions.
  • Complete relevant administration, audits and payroll information.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, COSHH, food hygiene and health & safety requirements.
  • Manage allergy information and risk assessments.
  • Monitor catering equipment and report any faults or defects.
  • Support promotions and initiatives to increase sales.
  • Attend team and client meetings when required.
  • Support the Catering Manager and deputise in their absence.
  • Follow all company and client policies and procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential

  • Previous catering experience.
  • Experience carrying out a range of catering duties.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Computer literate and confident using IT systems.
  • Understanding of relevant food safety and catering legislation.
  • Willingness to complete all required training.

Desirable

  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • NVQ or catering apprenticeship.
  • Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate.
