Job Introduction

Sodexo is seeking a skilled and reliable Evening Chef to join our team delivering contract catering services at the Mars Wrigley site in Slough.

This role supports the evening catering operation within a busy corporate manufacturing environment, helping to provide high-quality meals for employees working later shifts. You will be responsible for preparing and serving freshly made food while maintaining the high food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards expected within a professional workplace dining environment.

Working as part of the onsite Sodexo catering team, you will help ensure the kitchen and service areas operate efficiently during evening service, supporting both food preparation and overall kitchen standards.

What you’ll do

• Prepare and cook fresh meals for evening workplace dining service

• Support the delivery of contract catering services within a corporate manufacturing environment

• Ensure food is prepared and presented to a consistently high standard

• Maintain excellent food hygiene, allergen management, and health & safety practices

• Assist with stock control, food preparation, and kitchen organisation

• Ensure kitchen areas are clean, safe, and compliant with food safety standards

• Work collaboratively with the wider Sodexo catering team to deliver a reliable evening service

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience working as a Chef in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within contract catering, workplace dining, or high-volume service

• Professional cookery or culinary qualifications are desirable

• Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently during busy service periods

• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations

• A positive and reliable approach with the ability to work as part of a team
