We are seeking a hands-on Evening Cleaning Supervisor to oversee evening cleaning operations at the Mars Wrigley site. This role involves supervising a team of six cleaning operatives while also carrying out cleaning duties alongside the team. The work covers general, office, and occasional industrial cleaning within factory environments.
Supervise and support a team of six evening cleaning operatives to ensure all tasks are completed to the required standard.
Actively participate in cleaning duties, including general cleaning, office cleaning, and periodic industrial cleaning within factory areas.
Allocate work, monitor attendance and break times, and ensure daily schedules and timesheets are completed accurately.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and GMP/GHP compliance through regular checks and inspections.
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements, including COSHH, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
Complete required documentation, including cleaning schedules, accident and incident reports, return-to-work interviews, and safety records.
Manage performance through coaching, on-the-job training, and support, including new starter inductions.
Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are safe, maintained, stored correctly, and ready for use.
Act as the main point of contact during evening hours and respond to reactive or emergency cleaning tasks as required.
Support audits and liaise with site management and clients when necessary.
Previous experience supervising cleaning or facilities teams in a commercial or industrial environment.
Willingness to take a hands-on approach and work alongside the team.
Good knowledge of health and safety practices, including COSHH and risk assessments.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Reliable, professional, and able to lead by example with high attention to detail.
