The Integrated Offender Management Unit (IOMU) sits at the heart of HMP Bronzefield, providing vital administrative support to ensure residents receive structured, lawful, and purposeful sentence management throughout custody and beyond.
We are seeking an IOMU Custody Administrator to support operational colleagues by delivering accurate, timely, and compliant administrative services. You will act as a key point of contact for internal teams and external agencies, contributing directly to safe custody, lawful release, and effective offender management.
This is a fast-paced role that requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage competing priorities, and confidence working within a highly regulated environment.

Provide comprehensive administrative support to the IOMU in line with policies, procedures, and Prison Service Instructions (PSIs)
Accurately complete sentence calculations, including new sentences, transfers, recalls, civil, and confiscation orders
Ensure the correct and timely release of residents, including preparation of licences and release documentation
Coordinate court productions, including physical attendance and video link appearances
Manage parole processes, including oral hearings, dossier collation, and coordination with all parties
Identify and notify the Home Office of all Foreign National Offenders
Liaise with external agencies including Probation Services, Courts, Immigration, and Social Services
Support Sentence Planning Boards, Release on Temporary Licence (ROTL), and Home Detention Curfew (HDC) processes
Conduct pre-release checks and ensure all documentation is accurate and submitted on time
Maintain and update computer systems and records
Respond to telephone, email, and written enquiries, complaints, and post
Take minutes for meetings when required and support the Custody Team Leader and Manager
Ensure all work is completed with a high level of security awareness and confidentiality

You will be an organised, reliable administrator who is comfortable working in a structured and process-driven environment.
Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritise workload and manage competing deadlines
Confidence communicating with internal teams and external partners
Experience working within strict processes, procedures, and compliance frameworks
Strong organisational and diary-management skills
A customer-focused approach with a calm and professional manner
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to attend training as required
Successful candidates will be subject to Enhanced Level 2 Security Clearance and an Enhanced DBS check.

£10,842 per annum
Hours:
Part-time, 16 hours per week
Working pattern:
Wednesday & Friday, 08:30–17:30 (subject to change)
Fixed term 1 year contract
