We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Culinary Operations Chef to support the development of culinary talent across Sodexo. This role plays a key part in delivering our commitment to culinary excellence by providing professional training, practical guidance and structured development opportunities for chefs at all levels. The successful candidate will contribute to the growth of our Culinary Collective and help strengthen Sodexo’s long‑term vision for a high performing, food focused future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver training modules for Culinary Apprentices in partnership with training providers.
  • Refine and improve training content to strengthen practical skills and daily production standards.
  • Review apprentice progress and feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the Culinary Career Pathways Framework and identify training needs.
  • Deliver masterclasses and support content creation for the Culinary Centre of Excellence.
  • Assist with food preparation for events, tastings, presentations, and menu launches.
  • Support central culinary projects and development initiatives.

Essential Skills

  • Strong foundational chef skills and experience in a professional kitchen.
  • Flexibility to travel, as training courses and activities may take place across the country.
  • Willingness to attend and support culinary competitions, representing the organisation where required.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a professional chef is required.
  • Creativity and passion for modern, sustainable and health focused food.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and time management abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within a corporate food innovation environment.
  • A Senior Culinary Level 4 desirable but not essential

Desirable Skills

  • Interest or experience in recipe development, R&D kitchens, or corporate catering.
  • Understanding of plant‑forward, seasonal, and sustainable menu principles.
  • Experience supporting events, tastings, or culinary demonstrations.
