Job Introduction

Are you passionate about quality, compliance, and maintaining the highest standards in healthcare environments? We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Auditor to join our team at Queen's Hospital, Romford.

In this role, you will help drive a culture of compliance and continuous improvement across domestic services, ensuring cleanliness standards meet contractual requirements, National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness, and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) expectations. You will work closely with operational teams, clinical departments, Trust representatives, and key stakeholders to identify best practice, improve service delivery, and support outstanding patient environments.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct scheduled domestic audits and compliance assessments to measure performance against contractual obligations, National Cleaning Standards, and IPC requirements.
  • Carry out quality inspections, service checks, and training compliance reviews across domestic services.
  • Monitor service performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and contractual standards, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Produce audit reports, analyse findings, and provide meaningful feedback to operational teams and management.
  • Raise Improvement Reports and Rectification Records, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively and within agreed timescales.
  • Review cleaning schedules, staff training records, and compliance with COSHH requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with Trust stakeholders, Infection Prevention and Control teams, clinical departments, and internal colleagues.
  • Support the Contract Management team by identifying opportunities to improve service quality, compliance, and operational performance.
  • Highlight health and safety concerns identified during audits and support the implementation of preventative actions.
  • Champion service excellence, quality standards, and organisational values across the contract.

What You Bring:

  • Experience conducting audits within facilities management, compliance, quality, or operational environments
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confidence working with data, identifying trends, and producing accurate reports.
  • Good IT, literacy, and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, challenge, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Sound judgement, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining objectivity during audits.
  • Resilience and the ability to remain calm, logical, and effective under pressure.
  • A willingness to learn, develop, and continuously improve.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of domestic services within a healthcare environment.
  • Experience working within healthcare or hospital settings.
  • Experience working on large integrated facilities management (IFM) contracts.
