  • This is a Hybrid role with visits to our Colchester and Ipswich hospital sites

Join our dynamic team as a key financial partner supporting the Business and Regional Directors across Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to influence commercial decision making, drive financial performance, and lead site based financial management. What You'll Do:

  • Support operational leads in managing contract complexities and client expectations to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Provide expert financial and commercial advice to drive performance and support decision making
  • Prepare and deliver timely management accounts and financial reports in line with company deadlines
  • Ensure billing mechanisms are correctly applied and facilitate the timely collection of debt
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, identifying opportunities and managing risks within contracts
  • Supervise and develop site based finance teams, ensuring high engagement and clear communication
  • Support process improvements, compliance, and audit activities to enhance financial controls.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high quality finance support

What You Bring:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with post qualification experience
  • Proven commercial acumen and negotiation skills gained through experience in dealing with complex contracts
  • Strong communicator with the confidence to challenge, influence and support at all levels
  • Demonstrable experience in continuous improvement and driving financial performance. The ability to keep focus on day to day performance whilst simultaneously pursuing longer term opportunities
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload
  • Proficiency in conveying and questioning financial information with non specialists
  • Be a key contributor to a strong and motivated finance operational team
  • A keen attention to detail
  • Experienced Microsoft Office user with a particular strength in excel modelling
  • Proven Healthcare industry experience
  • Contract stabilisation
