At Sodexo, we’re committed to delivering safe, compliant, and high-performing workplaces for our clients. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Cleaning Supervisor to lead cleaning operations at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Horsham.
This is a key role within our facilities team, responsible for overseeing daily cleaning operations, managing staff, and ensuring all services are delivered in line with contractual, quality, and compliance standards within a regulated environment.
Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day cleaning operations across office, laboratory, and controlled environments
Allocate tasks, manage rotas, and monitor staff attendance, performance, and productivity
Ensure cleaning standards are delivered in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), KPIs, and site specifications
Carry out regular quality audits and performance checks, ensuring compliance with agreed standards
Train, support, and develop team members, maintaining accurate training records
Enforce Health & Safety procedures, including COSHH, safe systems of work, and correct use of PPE and equipment
Manage cleaning materials and equipment, including stock control, ordering, and safe storage
Ensure all documentation, reports, and compliance records are completed accurately and on time
Report incidents, hazards, equipment faults, and maintenance issues promptly
Act as a key point of contact for the client and internal stakeholders, maintaining strong working relationships
Support continuous improvement and ensure a consistent, high-quality service is delivered
Previous experience in a cleaning supervisory role, ideally within a corporate, laboratory, or regulated environment
Strong knowledge of cleaning standards, compliance, and Health & Safety regulations (including COSHH)
Experience managing teams, including rota planning, performance monitoring, and training
Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to work in a structured, compliance-driven environment
Proactive approach with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Relevant qualifications such as BICSc, NVQ Level 2, or IOSH/COSHH certification are desirable
