Job Description

As a Cleaning Services Auditor at Sodexo, you’ll play an important role in making sure our cleaning services consistently meet the high standards expected by our clients.

Working at Colchester MOD, Merville Barracks, Circular Road South, Colchester, Essex, CO2 7UT you’ll carry out regular service audits, identify areas for improvement and work closely with cleaning teams, managers and the client to ensure any issues are addressed effectively.

What You’ll Do

• Carry out regular cleaning service audits against agreed Service Standard Statements, maintaining objectivity and consistency.
• Work alongside clients during accompanied audits, particularly where failures are identified or results are challenged.
• Share audit findings with managers and frontline colleagues through clear Improvement Reports.
• Monitor and follow up corrective actions to make sure issues identified through audits are resolved.
• Maintain accurate records and registers of audit findings and corrective actions.
• Collect the required audit samples each month and ensure all audits are completed within agreed timescales.
• Identify recurring issues and produce trend analysis to help drive continuous improvement.
• Report any health and safety concerns, hazards and near misses through the appropriate processes.
• Complete Safety Walks and Safety Observations using the SALUS App as required.
• Work closely with the HSEQ team to ensure audit information is submitted accurately and on time.
• Support additional auditing activities across the cleaning department, including window cleaning, racking inspections, periodic cleaning and flushing records.
• Attend team briefs and huddles and work collaboratively with colleagues across the site.
• Follow all Sodexo and client Health & Safety, Fire, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
• Be flexible and support other areas of the cleaning department when required.

What You Bring

We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering high standards and enjoys working with people.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience or knowledge of working within a cleaning environment.
• A good level of literacy and numeracy.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Good IT skills and confidence with data entry and maintaining records.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly and concisely.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• The ability to work to tight deadlines and manage your own workload.
• Confidence building positive working relationships with colleagues, managers and clients at all levels.
• A proactive approach to identifying issues and helping to find solutions.
• Familiarity with internal audit processes or ISO standards would be desirable, but is not essential.
