What You Will Do

  • Ensure the school is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Supervise and support the cleaning team to deliver an efficient and effective cleaning service.
  • Monitor cleaning schedules and ensure all duties are completed to the required standard.
  • Lead by example by maintaining a professional, positive, and customer-focused approach always.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, fire safety, and COSHH requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with management, reporting any issues, incidents, or concerns promptly.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the school and wider team.
  • Secure the premises as required and ensure all areas are safe and ready for use.
  • Care for cleaning equipment, materials, and storage areas, ensuring they are maintained correctly.

What You Bring

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support, and guide a cleaning team to achieve high standards.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • A hardworking, reliable, and self-motivated approach with a commitment to delivering quality results.
  • Experience of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A strong focus on customer service, building positive relationships with staff, pupils, visitors, and colleagues.
  • A thorough understanding of health and safety procedures and the importance of maintaining a safe working environment.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • The ability to remain calm and effective when working under pressure.

This role involves sole working. As a result of the role's health and safety risk assessment and safeguarding requirements, the minimum age for this position is 18.
