What You Will Do
- Ensure the school is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Supervise and support the cleaning team to deliver an efficient and effective cleaning service.
- Monitor cleaning schedules and ensure all duties are completed to the required standard.
- Lead by example by maintaining a professional, positive, and customer-focused approach always.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, fire safety, and COSHH requirements.
- Communicate effectively with management, reporting any issues, incidents, or concerns promptly.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the school and wider team.
- Secure the premises as required and ensure all areas are safe and ready for use.
- Care for cleaning equipment, materials, and storage areas, ensuring they are maintained correctly.
What You Bring
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support, and guide a cleaning team to achieve high standards.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- A hardworking, reliable, and self-motivated approach with a commitment to delivering quality results.
- Experience of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- A strong focus on customer service, building positive relationships with staff, pupils, visitors, and colleagues.
- A thorough understanding of health and safety procedures and the importance of maintaining a safe working environment.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to continuous improvement.
- The ability to remain calm and effective when working under pressure.
This role involves sole working. As a result of the role's health and safety risk assessment and safeguarding requirements, the minimum age for this position is 18.
