Job Description:

Lead Our Mobile Street Food & Events Catering Operation

Looking for something different from the traditional kitchen environment?

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Chef Supervisor (Supporting Multiple Units) to take the lead in our innovative Airstream catering trailer at Merville Barracks, Colchester, CO2 7UT.

This isn't your typical chef role. You'll be delivering exciting street food concepts, themed dining events and mobile catering experiences across the site, bringing creativity, energy and great food directly to our customers.

From Taco Tuesdays and themed food promotions to special functions and events, no two days are the same. You'll have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, engage directly with customers and help shape an evolving food offer that stands out from traditional catering operations.

If you're an enthusiastic chef who enjoys variety, autonomy and being part of something different, we'd love to hear from you.

What you’ll do:

As Chef Supervisor (Supporting Multiple Units), you'll take ownership of our mobile catering operation, ensuring excellent food quality, service and compliance standards at all times and help other units when needed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating and managing our Airstream catering trailer
  • Preparing, cooking and serving a variety of street food-inspired menus
  • Supporting themed catering events and special functions
  • Delivering exceptional customer service
  • Managing stock levels and ordering requirements
  • Maintaining food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards
  • Completing required paperwork and operational records
  • Supporting additional kitchens and catering units across the site when required
  • Working independently while maintaining high operational standards

Why Join Us?
