What you’ll be doing
As part of our dedicated kitchen team, you will:
- Prepare, cook, and serve high-quality meals in a busy catering environment
- Deliver consistently excellent food standards for military personnel and staff
- Maintain the highest levels of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness
- Ensure full compliance with EHO guidelines and sanitation best practices
- Work closely with front-of-house teams to create a seamless dining experience
- Support exciting special events and high-profile functions
- Assist with bulk cooking while maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who brings both skill and enthusiasm:
- Previous professional chef or cook experience in catering or hospitality
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and health regulations
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, team-focused environment
- A genuine passion for cooking and delivering exceptional service
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience within military, MOD, or government catering environments
- IOSH qualification or equivalent
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Recognised culinary qualifications such as:
- City & Guilds 706/1 & 2
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Professional Cookery
